INTIMACY COORDINATION - DEATH OF A PEOPLE PLEASER. Directed by Madeleine Wighton and  Hopeful Goose Productions  MAY 2025

Directed by Madeleine Wighton and produced by Hopeful Goose Creative. So many wonderful people coming together to create work under time frames that would see most people running away. Film makers are critical thinkers, problem solvers and their tenacity can't be underplayed.

INTIMACY COORDINATION - I & YOU by Lauren Gunderson. Directed by Claudia Barrie- MAY 2025

'There is real beauty in the fundamental truth of death, yet we try so hard to deny its existence.  The fact that time is limited, from the perspective of each individual perishable organism, should mean that moments big and small must be cherished, but all humans seem to do, is to imagine new ways to defy the inevitable. Life is already eternal, we only need to be appreciative of the infinite tiny encounters that materialise, from simply being here.'

INTIMACY COORDINATION - POSH by Laura Wade Directed by Margaret Thanos  APRIL 2025

'A dark comedy turned social horror over two acts penned by UK playwright Laura Wade in 2014, Posh is a study into how the “good old boys” have survived society’s staggered lunges towards equality over the last century. Inspired by real-life events, we see two generations conspiring to uphold the obscene traditions of class entitlement, patriarchal privilege, and their cashed-up “right” to do whatever they want.'

INTIMACY COORDINATION - DANGEROUS LIAISONS adapted by Deborah Mulhall. Directed by Tash O'Brien  APRIL 2025

Tash invited me to facilitate a workshop with the cast before they started blocking the work. Although the text is rich with the language of sexual connection, and attraction. Tash was looking for a way to use eye contact and breath to build sexual tension rather than physical touch. This show was a beautiful reminder that frisson can often be created without physical touch.
As an IC we often step into supporting stories where the characters
undergo crisis in pressure filled environments.
This cast was incredible to observe and work with. They  truly moved at the 'speed of trust.'  I am so excited to see the evolution of this production.

WELLBEING COORDINATION - SNAKEFACE by Aliyah Knight. Directed by Bernadette Fam as part of 25A Belvoir - APRIL 2025

Poetic and layered, ‘Snakeface’ is a visual feast that delves into Greek Mythology for stylised storytelling.Writer and performer Aliyah Knight continues this feminist reclamation of Medusa’s story by placing this inspiration in the body of a Black, queer woman, rewriting the narrative one has with their bodies as they heal from trauma.'

INTIMACY COORDINATION - ABIGAIL by Rebecca McNamee as part of the HERstory Arts Festival at Sydney Theatre Company - APRIL 2025

'Directed by writer McNamee, there’s a clear elegance to Abigail Williams that seduces you. The simplicity of the staging (designed by Angelina Daniel) is so pointed in its clarity, and often filled with dark humour, that it makes for a remarkable economy of storytelling. '

INTIMACY COORDINATION - THE MOORS by Jen Silverman, Directed by Jessica Fallico -  FEBRUARY 2025

'The play’s direction, which deliberately amplifies the tension between characters, showcases the profound misunderstandings and alienation they endure. What is especially striking in the narrative is the way trauma subtly informs each character’s behaviour, whether it’s Agatha’s need for control or Huldey’s dissociation from the pain of her surroundings.'

INTIMACY COORDINATION/ ACCESS COORDINATOR  - MATCHED AT FIRST SPICE  Pedestrian X Masterfoods. -FEBRUARY 2025

Such an incredible group of people! I was brought into this production because the producers wanted to make sure the people who agreed to meet and cook with a stranger for this TIKTOK, had their boundaries honoured. These conversations that feel so casual are critical to the success of any project.

INTIMACY COORDINATION - SPRING AWAKENING by Frank Wedekind. Directed by  Claudia Osbourne -  NIDA NOVEMBER 2024

'At first glance, Wedekind’s thesis seems simple; a tragic, cautionary tale against the sexual hypocrisies at the turn of the century. But the tragedy here extends beyond the demise of Wendla, Melchior and Moritz. With the power of hindsight, Wedekind’s authoritarian fin-de-siecle play feels prophetic. Unlike some of the queries and questions around sex and life, the violence in this play cannot and should not be justified as ‘natural instinct’. This violence is a rupture of repression, and the result of a society that regulates its citizens through shame.'

INTIMACY COORDINATION - HAIR  Book and Lyrics by Gerome Ragni & James Rado, Music by Galt MacDermot Directed by Zachary Aleksander-  NOVEMBER 2024

'This production is masterfully directed, and is performed with a level of commitment and a sense of reality which is all too rare in contemporary music theatre. Moments in, you don’t feel like you are watching a show. Rather, you are witnessing The Tribe do its thing. As such, there is some language and images which some may find confronting, and there’s good reason why no one under 18 years old will be admitted. However, unlike the gratuitous use of nudity in some productions of this show, when it briefly occurs here it is both restrained and genuine.'

INTIMACY COORDINATION - STUPID FUCKING BIRD by Aaron Posner. Directed by  Eva Grace Mulalley -NIDA  NOVEMBER 2024

To tell this important story
With such a wonderful team
And to work with such talent
About to emerge into ‘the dream’

Is nothing short of a privilege
And an honour me to behold
And I believe Australia has been waiting
For this story to be re-told

To our amazing playwright, Aaron Posner
Thank you for taking us on this ride
You will be a part of our psyche forever
We hope you look on with pride

It’s detailed and intellectual
And has so much to say
But now let’s get on with showing you
And ‘start the fucking play

CONSENT WITH MINORS - WORKSHOP FACILITATOR JUNIOR THEATRE FESTIVAL NOVEMBER 2024

As an educator for over 30 years, I've created a series of workshops for stage 1-6 using drama games, to discuss consent through dramatic play. My senior workshop is on consent mechanics for devised work- for year 11 and 12 students creating their major works for Drama..

The professional development workshop for primary and high school teachers  explores how we participate in drama games and storytelling to create a consent based, trauma informed approach to dramatic play, that honours the school ethos and value systems.

The focus of all the workshops is how we as educators can use drama to build resilient nervous systems in our students!

Champions Oct 11 – 26, 2024
'A contemplative work, Champions is directed by Bali Padda who brings commendable sensitivity to a play brimming with engaging nuance.
The cast for Champions is very strong; Cat Dominguez, Talitha Parker, Lincoln Vickery and Bayley Prendegast play visual artists negotiating a suddenly intensified work environment, remarkable for the distinct qualities they deliver, as well as a sense of authenticity they imbue in the storytelling.

INTIMACY COORDINATION - CUT CHILLI by Chenturan Aran. Directed by  David Burrows -  JULY 2024

What I love most about what I do, is the privilege of working with artists and creatives who unravel the puzzle pieces of the story together. So many times I am only brought in once on a project. There is minimal opportunity to nuance the work. Intimacy coordinators are a resource for the ideas of the show and the boundaries of the artists, which means we can work in so many different capacities. What I love about David Burrowes approach to this beautiful play is that he has used the intimacy support as a place to hold space for the thematic content as well as connection in the play.
The industry is realising we can be brought in for more than sexual choreography.

INTIMACY COORDINATION - YOUR NAME by Kate Bubalo    - JUNE 2024

A Great review around how important Intimacy coordinators are for our industry:
Working with Intimacy Coordinator Shondelle Pratt and the performers Hayman and co captured the Barbies smashing their bits together sexuality of fanfiction to raucous laughter on the preview performance I attended. The exaggerated noises and motions coupled with the hilarious and intentionally overworked dialogue by Bubalo made for uncomfortably fun viewing, but also made me acutely aware of how vital intimacy coordination must be for this production. I mentioned the Barbies before, now picture how that looks when it is humans. You would need to be explicitly comfortable with the person performing with you and if you are not, the audience will be uncomfortable for the wrong reasons. Hayman and her team have clearly created a safe environment that has allowed for a play with this content to be done so successfully. '

INTIMACY DIRECTION- FRANKENSTEIN  NIDA - MAY 2024

I am always delighted to work with the next generation of artists. This show is going to be amazing.  NIDA head of Directing Benjamin Schostakowski  adapted and directed the play.  When I was creating consent work, I approached Ben to be able to share the work and have feedback from students. He was incredibly generous and created a space where I could share the evolution of intimacy and consent mechanics with emerging creatives.

INTIMACY DIRECTION- YOUR NAME - PURPLE TAPE PRODUCTIONS - MAY 2024

This rehearsal process has been one of the most fun experiences in my career. I have worked with actors who make incredible offers. Why the resources we offer to companies, crew and artists create positive change in this industry.

INTIMACY DIRECTION CAST WORKSHOP- SECRET BRIDESMAIDS BUSINESS - APRIL 2024

The Actors Centre was one of the first organisations that created space for me to share consent mechanics and check in practices with their students. The Head of Acting, Adam Cook created space for work that was only just emerging. What I love the most about sharing the intimacy guidelines and working with emerging artists in vulnerable scene work is watching them work together to create a vocabulary around touch that works for them, in the world of that story. Very big thank you to director Kim Hardwick, who always creates a rehearsal space that honours boundaries and elevates   the work.

INTIMACY COORDINATION- ABIGAIL WILLIAMS( Festival of Emerging Artists) - APRIL 2024

I worked on this show at the end of last year but only recently saw the photos. Rebecca McNamee was the writer and director of the project. It is something quite special to watch the relationship between an actor and director when there is infinite trust in process and reciprocal respect.  The show was haltingly beautiful, meticulous in its construction of events and ultimately asks 'is Abigail really a villain?'

INTIMACY COORDINATION- THE ATTEMPTED RAPE OF SUSSANAH ( Festival of Emerging Artists) - APRIL 2024
This was a project for the Festival of Emerging artists last year.I just received the photos- they don't do the show justice. Rosa Campagnaro and I had met when I was studying my MFA in directing. She was and is passionate, talented and an inspiring. Watching her work with the actors was a masterclass in what Hayes Gordon referred to as 'The Ensemble Effect.' Everyone's purpose was to make the others in the scene shine.

INTIMACY COORDINATION- SOTOBA KOMACHI - MARCH 2024
'Times will change, but ghosts are constant and eternal. They represent the essence of who we are, and what we see them to possess, corresponds with the most fundamental of our values and beliefs. Intuitively we know that the ghosts have shed all that is gratuitous and meaningless. They remain as a manifestation of our very core, and every meditation on their nature, can only be a reflection on who we truly are, in the breathing moment.'

INTIMACY Director The Writer  NIDA - May 2023
 By Ella Hickson
Directed by Zoë Hollyoak

Australian Premiere
"Does it scare you that the future might speak a language that you can’t understand?"
A young female playwright and an older male director find themselves alone in an empty theatre. She wants a new form of theatre that dismantles capitalism and overturns the patriarchy. He’s turned on by the commercial potential of her rage. He flirts. She stares him down. She wants to do things her way. She wants to change the shape of the world. And without warning it does, revealing stories nested within stories like Russian dolls, each more brilliant and daring than the last.

And there are sins that don't die with the sinner.

It doesn’t have to be Shakespeare. It doesn’t have to make you feel stupid or confused. The best theatre doesn’t do that; it doesn’t sit above the audience; it invites you in.'.
