Workshops
With a 30 year career in arts and education; Shondelle is an, educator, choreographer, theatre maker and internationally certified intimacy director, coordinator and pedagogue. Currently, she is one of two certified pedagogues for this work, in the country.
Shondelle facilitates workshops that are tailored for K–12 and tertiary settings and align with the NSW Drama Syllabus and VET courses. Each workshop offers opportunities to develop drama skills under the guidance of a professional consent educator and specialist. Schools can curate a bespoke experience for a particular group of students or based on the workshops offerings below.
These workshops are designed around access needs and extend participants abilities within a positive and inclusive environment. Through embodied learning, students explore techniques to develop devised work, are introduced to internationally recognised consent frameworks and are encouraged to build confidence through creative collaboration exercises.
These incursions can travel to schools within the Metropolitan area and are also available to travel to rural and regional areas for an additional travel fee. There is also provided teacher PL for upskilling as an adjunct to the workshops.
Colleagues have already experienced the work, Consent Mechanics with Minors, for educators, directors and teaching artists at the Junior Theatre Festival in Newcastle and more recently, the 2025 INVIGORATE National Drama Conference in Adelaide 2025.
